Introduction
- The ordinance on the ethical deed of conduct and regulations of Jeollanam-do was established as a tool for the council members’ morality and dignity. The members of council shall abide by the ordinance sincerely and the issues of violating the regulation is evaluated and processed by constituting a Special Ethics Committee.
Code of Ethics
- First, the council member shall make voice representing the willing of the residents by keeping dignity through nurturing the character and intelligence and observing good manners.
- Second, the council member perform works sincerely with a mindset of putting the public interest in the first place for the welfare of the resident and development of provincial administration as a servant for the people.
- Third, as a public servant, the council member shall not seek unfair benefits and execute improper impact power related to the works, and take a lead for living in integrity and thrift.
- Fourth, as a constituent member of the council, the council member shall guarantee the equal opportunity, settle issues through in-depth discussion and keep the legitimate procedure.
- Fifth, as a spokesman of the resident, the council member shall take responsibilities on all public and private activities for the people.
