Rights of the Council
- Voting right : A right for deciding council affairs and policies on the important issues of the local government
- Administrative affairs auditing right : A right of supervising and controlling the state of administrative execution of the local government as a representative organization of the residents.
- Electoral right : A right on the internal elections of the council
- Self-autonomy right : A self-regulative right on organization and operation of local council without involvement and interruption from external agencies likes central government and executive agencies
Roles of the council
The council plays 3 main roles of resident representing function, self-autonomy legislation function and administrative monitoring function like approval on the budget plan and closing, processing petition and appealing, establishing, revising and cancelling the ordinance within the framework of the act, monitoring, investigation, consent, approval and reporting on the administrative works and requesting the attendance of the officer-in-charge.
